Well I recently returned from my 4th deployment in support of Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.  This was a very rewarding deployment for me both personally and professionally.  I am very glad to be home though.  Please continue to keep all of our Service Members in your prayers.

I am in the process of moving into a new house.  It is a welcome change from apartment living.  I don’t know what I will do with all the space.  I am sure I will fill it up soon enough.

I am off for now.  I will write again soon…..you can also find me on myspace http://www.myspace.com/juniorhadley  Stop by and say hey.

Well my week in Africa has come to an end.  I begin my journey back north today.  It has been a week full of hard work but very satisfying.  I have seen the joy on children's faces that so needed the supplies we brought.  The thankful gleam in the Soldiers eyes when I shook his hand and told him thank you and I was proud to be serving with him.  Oh what a great country we have and I am very proud to be part of defending her.

My weekend was finished off in Grand style as my Broncos took it to the Raiders and showed them how a real team plays!!

Not sure when I will be able to post again but until then.  Thank you all for your support!  It means so much to know we are loved back home.

God Bless!!

As most of you know I am currently serving another tour in Iraq.  I arrived on Oct 18.  Thing have been going very well so far.  I have flown 15 combat missions.  The stories that will come from this tour are already many.  Most of which I am unable to speak of at the present but will in due time.

My access to Xanga is limited at my base.  I am currently on a week long mission in the Horn of Africa.  A welcome break from the regular flights into Baghdad.  So far I have been involved with re-supplying remote Army Bases in Ethiopia and Kenya.  It has been quite a experience.  I will be here for a couple of more.

I am not sure when I will be able to log on again but will update when I can.  Please keep all of  our Troops in your thoughts and prayers through the up coming holidays.  These can be lonely times for many being away from family.

God Bless,

Junior

Moving Day!!

Oh What a Joy!!

Monday, October 10, 2005

This past month has been crazy.  One day I am in Colorado the next day I am flying evacuees from Beaumont Texas.  One day I am going to Iraq for 4 months and the next day for 6 months.  The current plan is to leave this weekend for 4 months.  Oh, the life of a military man.  Maximum flexibility a must.

I have, however, been able to find time to relax and spend the last few days with friends and family.  Last weekend (Oct 1), Ferg and I hung out.  We spent Friday night checking the beautiful scenery here in Abilene.  Saturday we ventured a little south to San Angelo for Ferg's First Ragweed show.  It was a great night.  Made even better by company of Brother Dean.  A Good Time was had by all!!

Last evening I returned from a West Texas weekend at my Dad's in Lubbuck!!  Friday night we went to the Lubbuck Music Festival.(Formerly the Buddy Holly Music Festival).  The highlight of the evening was Mr Pat Green!!!  He put on quite a show.  Oh I love Texas Music!!!  Saturday Shelby and I took in yet another Ragweed show.  It was quite interesting.  There were people that had been attending various concerts all day in the hot sun and were becoming increasingly dehydrated.  That was enhanced by their choice of re hydration if you know what I mean.  It was a great opportunity to do people watching!!  Saturday evening we had a Burger Burn at my dads.  It was a great time.  My uncles all came.  It was nice to spend time with family.  Sunday we went to church.  It was really nice.

This week promises to be a busy one.  I am just starting the process of packing and preparing for the deployment.  I hope to finish that today and begin the process of moving all of things into storage.  My lease is up and I am going save on rent for the next several months.

I have yet to determine if I can access xanga from Iraq yet or not.  If so I will post to keep everyone up to speed on my adventures.

Time to pack up,

Junior
